We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Backend Product Engineer) who loves building fast, scalable systems — the kind that don’t just “work” but elevate the product. If turning raw AI + data into real-time game logic sounds fun, you’ll probably love it here.

The Role
We’re looking for a Software Engineer who loves building systems that actually scale, connect and evolve.

It’s about building a living system where humans and agents co-create in real time.

You’ll be right at the core, connecting LLMs, orchestration layers and a fast data architecture that powers Uniplay’s adaptive learning engine.

We’re a small, sharp team based in Stockholm with a hybrid setup of deep-focus home days and high-energy studio days.

What you’ll do
Design, build, and scale the backend and infrastructure behind our AI game engine — real-time, data-driven, adaptive.

Develop APIs and orchestration logic that connect multiple LLMs, internal agents, and external services into a unified experience.

Collaborate with frontend, design, and AI teams to turn logic and data into fast, elegant user experiences.

Own cloud architecture (AWS / GCP) — from deployment pipelines to performance and reliability.

Occasionally work in the frontend (React / Next.js) to keep the full stack coherent and flowing.

Contributing us build our agentic backbone that empowers AI-native user experiences.

Ship fast, learn faster — and help define what “AI product” means in practice.

Who you are
You builds things. You have personal projects, side experiments, or AI prototypes that show your curiosity in action. You are someone who creates, not just only codes.

Strong in backend development, APIs, data flow, and infrastructure.

Experienced with Node.js (Python is plus), and comfortable navigating between backend and fullstack contexts.

Experienced in functional programming — or ready to learn and apply it.

Comfortable with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Infra as Code (IaC) and Event-Driven Architecture.

Experience building applications with foundational models (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or similar) and how to make them part of real products.

Structured under speed — delivers quality even when things are moving fast.

Communicative, collaborative, and thrives in autonomous teams with shared ownership.

Sees AI as a new co-worker, not a co-pilot.
